The GSMA mHealth Working Group held on the 25th of July 2016. As part of the line-up of activities in and around the Mobile 360 Africa Series, different activities were put together with the purpose of putting in one-room, partners of the GSMA from various countries with the primary objective of sharing insights about what each member of the group is currently doing in their respective countries highlighting on a high-level how their endeavours have come about with the added benefit of providing a platform for
potential collaborations/partnerships in existing projects and/or new ones.
In an instance during the conference, VAS2Nets Technologies Limited in collaboration with our project partners best described our Health Projects and Experiences from development as well as implentation; and as such won the best pitch award from GSMA.
In other parts of the session, participants received user experience insights from fieldwork done in Ghana which have further buttressed the importance of prioritising the customer in delivering value and social relevance to target groups of Mobile Health projects whilst leveraging participants collective wisdom to discuss, share experiences and brainstorm solutions around key challenges faced in the individual projects being done by the working group in order to facilitate “takeaways” that may prove invaluable in the long-term growth and sustainability of the respective projects.

Dear Esteemed Customer,
Welcome to our first newsletter this year.
We’re quite sure you won’t be surprised at what we’ll be talking about today…Lassa fever.
Lassa fever or Lassa hemorrhagic fever (LHF) is an acute viral hemorrhagic fever caused by the Lassa Virus which was first described in 1969 in the town of Lassa, in Borno State, Nigeria.
The primary animal host of the Lassa virus is the Natal multimammate mouse (Mastomys natalensis).
After an incubation period of 6 – 21 days, an acute illness develops which includes fever, facial swelling, muscle fatigue, conjunctivitis and mucosal bleeding.
Clinically, Lassa fever infections are difficult to distinguish from other hemorrhagic fevers such as Ebola and even from some forms of malaria.
The best way to prevent it is to avoid all forms of direct contacts with rodents and ensure our stored food products are well covered/enclosed properly.
For more information on this rampaging disease, kindly call our professional mHealth doctors on 35123at the rate of =N=50/minute (MTN users only) mondays - fridays, 9am - 5pm or 67777 at the rate of =N=30/minute (Airtel users only)

Dear Esteemed Customer,
VAS2Nets Technologies LTD in collaboration with Nigeria Inter Bank Settlement System Plc. (NIBSS) has rolled out Bank Verification Number (BVN) Query Service. The service unveiled at the NIBSS headquarters in Lagos is designed to help the Nigerian banking public query their BVN instantly via their mobile phones.
This comes fresh off the back of the extended deadline for the Bank Verification Number registration which ends on October 31, 2015 nationwide. The BVN registration is a directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to all Commercial Banks within the federation to register all their customers biometrically in line with the Know Your Customer (KYC) policy.
Chief Executive officer, VAS2Nets Group, Ayo Stuffman said partnering with NIBSS on the USSD BVN verification service was in line with the Applications & Infrastructure Service Providers commitment to innovating tools that improve the lives of Nigerians and creates good value for consumers across all strata of the Nigerian Economy including the banking and telecoms industries.
He said “We are overly glad to be involved in creating this product because we strongly believe in innovation and also believe it is the only way the telecoms and technology industry can lead the much needed change Nigeria as a whole direly needs.
As a very key aspect of the Nigerian economy we believe the banking industry to be a very fundamental element for developing Nigeria, as such focusing on solving issues peculiar to the banking industry is key for the growth and future of Nigeria.”
“Etisalat subscribers can check their BVN registration status and number by dialing the code *565*0# for an instant response at a cost of N10 per Query” he said and “other network operators would soon follow suit”.
